We have lived in Lake Windcrest for nearly 25 years. We chose to build here when we returned from overseas mostly to avoid huge class sizes in the schools and because we wanted to live on a golf course. We still think we made the right decision! It's changed a lot over the years but we still love the peaceful atmosphere.

It’s definitely the people who live here! We initially moved for the school district but now that my kids are older, we are staying for the community!

Lake Windcrest is such a beautiful community — full of supportive neighbors always willing to help one another and host fun events for all ages and interests. We lived in the Houston area for 10 years after a job transfer. Our realtor, Ellen Pool, introduced us to Lake Windcrest. It was so different from the other neighborhoods we had seen! We love the trees, large yard and golf course views. Being home feels almost like being on vacation.

We moved here to be on a larger property, the golf course and being close to family.

We have found wonderful neighbors and such a beautiful quiet community with an abundance of wildlife.

Our family moved from the city of Houston to enjoy a slower paced life. We find ourselves in true serenity in LW where we are pausing for the first time in decades! Our long daily walks include deer, bird watching, horse trails, gorgeous lakes and paths. It’s quiet yet still community minded at its core. We find ourselves drawn wholeheartedly to LW!

We moved here to be able to ride our horses in the nature trail. We loved the parks and lakes and spacious lot sizes. In 2004 it was WAY out here and while we miss the trees and hate the traffic the amenities are very nice. We had a fantastic time with the MISD schools and really got into our community through Cub Scouts and then Boy Scouts. We had the time of our lives with FFA and football and now our grandchildren are being raised here too. Looking forward to all of their exciting adventures in Magnolia!
